Easy Ceiling design, manufacture and install stretch ceilings – a lightweight suspended ceiling system that clips into a perimeter track. Ceiling systems differ greatly in their sustainability and energy efficiency. A stretch ceiling has sustainability at its heart – it weighs a fraction of a traditional ceiling, so requires less energy to transport, and installation creates no waste.

Easy Ceiling products also come with a guarantee of at least ten years, and are 100% recyclable if they ever do need replacing.

University product testing

As a member of our South East Hub, Easy Ceiling worked with the University of Brighton’s thermal-efficiency academic experts to evaluate the energy efficiency of stretch ceilings.

The research team found that stretch ceilings:

‘Grant excellent results in most scenarios, reducing the energy needs of the building, improving the indoor comfort conditions, and achieving up to 5 years payback time even in the absence of incentives. Additionally, in each scenario, the Easy Ceiling stretch ceiling solution outperformed traditional solutions in terms of energy performance and can achieve better financial returns thanks to the lower costs.’

UK innovation funding to unlock a new marketing strategy

As well as product testing, we’ve also helped Easy Ceiling with grant funding and business advice.

As an innovative product in the UK market, the company needed to run a targeted marketing strategy to raise awareness of their product. We helped them get grant funding through LoCASE to support their marketing – including a new website, marketing plan and PR for some targeted customers, such as architects.

Easy Ceiling Director, Elena Likhodaeva, said:

“The new phase of marketing includes more marketing & promotion activities to reach more customers – to sell the benefits of the easy ceiling product and service – it will focus on with PR and using different channels to reach more customer segments. Activities will include Google Ads and Social Media adverts.“

“The grants will enable us to reach more customers; we need to bring people to our website as that is where we are able to convert sales. Without the grant this activity will be greatly reduced and we might not achieve the sales we need to survive this challenging time.”

“The Green Growth Platform team has been great to deal with. We’ve been involved in Profitnet meetings and workshops for local business. We’re proud to be part of the network and hope to work with the team again in the future.”

What’s next for Easy Ceilings?

Despite the challenges of 2020, the company was successful in gaining some new clients by investing in new marketing channels, and they’re looking forward to achieving forecasted sales and creating new jobs accordingly.
