Meet the team
David Hutchinson
Director, Greentech South
David has worked in the Higher Education Sector for over 20 years. His most recent roles have been management positions, with significant responsibility for working with industry on collaborative research and development. He is passionate about clean growth and has experienced the good that can arise from Business and Universities working together.
Keiron Roberts
Research Fellow in Low Carbon Technologies
Keiron is an experienced researcher in a range of low carbon technologies, policies and practices. These are mainly within the area of sustainable infrastructure; focusing primarily on solid waste management, wastewater treatment processes and the adoption of zero-waste and circular economy practices.
Matt Pullinger
Business and Administration Support Officer
After a 20 year career in the catering industry, Matt is now a Financial Management for Business student at the University of Portsmouth. Currently on his placement year at Greentech South, Matt has previous knowledge in the clean growth sector stems from several business and research projects during the first two years of university, specifically in solar power and hydroponics systems.
Joe Watson
Business and Administration Support Officer
Joe is a Business and Management student at the University of Portsmouth and is currently undertaking a placement year at Greentech South. Joe’s past experience consists of 3 years in retail as well as involvement in a number of projects such as the Apple Amabassador Course. His involvement in these projects has instilled a passion for innovation that he aims to explore further in his new role.
James Arber
Business Innovation Advisor
As part of the Business Facing Team, James works with SMEs on the Low Carbon Solent Project. In his role he helps low-carbon businesses achieve grant funding, gain access to postgraduate projects, engage with local institutions and supports on the delivery of innovation and networking events. He is currently studying Marketing at the University of Portsmouth where he will return to complete his final year of studies in 2021.
Wilson Barlow
Business Innovation Advisor
Wilson is a Business Economics student at the University of Portsmouth and is currently on a year-long placement at Greentech South. He is responsible for SME engagement on the Low Carbon Solent project, business innovation support and helps to deliver a variety of business events targeted at SMEs across the UK. With a passion for clean growth and innovation, Wilson hopes to further develop his interest during his placement.
