Clean Growth UK is delivered across the South West by the University of Portsmouth’s Greentech South.
Greentech South has secured over £35 million of new investment into the low carbon economy, helped over 100 SMEs to develop innovative new low carbon products and solutions and created over 250 new jobs since its inception in 2015.
David works on large, interdisciplinary funded projects that address environmental and energy systems challenges, aiming to accelerate progress towards Net Zero. His recent funding has come from NERC, Research England, the UK Government, Innovate UK, and industry. He is passionate about clean growth and believes strongly in the positive impact of collaboration between business and universities.
Keiron began work with Greentech South as a Research Fellow in Low Carbon Technologies. He is a researcher with expertise in wastewater, solid waste and energy systems, and resource management and technologies, with a particular focus on sustainability and the circular economy. Since joining the University, he has subsequently joined the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying as a Senior Lecturer.
Matt first joined the team during his year in placement at the University of Portsmouth and has since graduated with a degree in Financial Management, whilst researching the barriers that businesses face to reaching Net Zero. He has since led the Business Development on two European Regional Development Funded (ERDF) programmes delivered through Greentech South and is looking to continue working closely with businesses and academics that are developing clean growth innovations.
