Akro Valve Ltd supply flow control valves and water distribution systems that deliver precise units of flow.

They are used in the scientific and process industries and by water authorities to limit or control flow. The business also supplies water saving tap stands for a variety of industries, including overseas aid and events and festivals.

We’ve helped them access LoCASE grant funding and develop their business strategy through the Profitnet programme, designed to help business owners find answers to their biggest business issue.

“The company needed support to develop a new line of flow control valves initially to retrofit in the domestic homes market. The valve is easily fitted to existing taps, and therefore is also relevant to new commercial sites including the public sector schools and hospitals.

On the operational side the business wanted to improve resource efficiency by installing LEDs and participate in Profitnet in order to improve business processes including a review of IP.”
