University of Portsmouth

As the South-Central Hub for Clean Growth UK, the University of Portsmouth is working at the forefront of fostering sustainable innovation and clean growth. We have a strong track record of empowering businesses to reduce carbon emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and develop sustainable products and services that contribute to a greener economy.

We can connect businesses with cutting-edge research, expert knowledge, and practical support. Through collaborative projects, workshops, and tailored consultancy, we help enterprises navigate the challenges of sustainability and seize new opportunities in the low-carbon market.

Our multidisciplinary team brings together expertise from environmental science, engineering, business, and technology to deliver impactful solutions. By partnering with us, businesses gain access to state-of-the-art facilities, funding opportunities, and a network of like-minded innovators committed to driving positive environmental change.

This work is underpinned by our leadership of Greentech South, the South of England’s cleantech cluster. Based at the University, the cluster brings together organisations across energy, water and circular economy sectors – creating a vibrant innovation ecosystem that supports business growth and accelerates the transition to Net Zero. As the only UK member of the International Cleantech Network, we can help linkin to a worldwide community.
