Rural Community Energy Fund

The Greater South East Energy Hub has launched grant funding to develop renewable energy projects with community benefit. It is being delivered by the five Energy Hubs in the North East, North West, Midlands, South West and South East of England.

The fund is available to community-led energy projects across two stages:

  1. Feasibility Grant: Intended for projects that are at an early phase of exploring the possibility of a renewable energy project, and which meet the Fund’s eligibility criteria.
  2. Development Grant: Intended for projects that demonstrate a good chance of securing planning permission and being implemented.

 

Funding rate:

Up to £40k funding for feasibility grants or up to £100k for development grants.

Deadline:

Rolling deadlines throughout 2021.
