SmartLouvre Technology Ltd has been delivering architectural and buildings solutions for over 80 years. Their innovative product MicroLouvre provides a cost-effective solution to the common problem of unwanted solar heat gain.
MicroLouvre fits to windows and shades 100% of all direct sun above 40ºC, blocking 86% of heat, eliminating glare and reducing air conditioning consumption by up to 20%.
The company reached out to Greentech South (our South West Hub) because they needed help with measuring the effectiveness of MicroLouvre. We’ve helped them access the University of Portsmouth’s Port-Eco House facility to carry out the tests, so they’ll be able to get university-backed performance data to support their product development, marketing and business growth.
“Working with Greentech South has allowed us to access university facilities, which we have been very keen to do, as well as benefit from a range of business support from the rest of the team. Thanks to GTS, we look forward to the installation of our MicroLouvre™ Screens at the Eco House for their Solar Shading application and receiving the testing results that will be conducted at the university next year.” – Joe Reynolds, Business Development Manager at Smartlouvre Technology Ltd.
